Abraham Moss Library and Leisure Centre is the fourth facility that Vetter UK have completed alongside our parent company Laing O’Rourke following the successful completion of works on Beswick, Hough End and Levenshulme Arcadia.
It features both a 25m x 12.5m wide main pool with six lanes, and a 20m x 8m wide learner pool, steam room and sauna, a sports hall, two squash courts, two gyms, dance studio and modern library. Four cricket lanes are included within the sports hall, the only facility of its kind in the North West.
Works included the installation of 1,500m² of screeding, and the preparation of the pool tanks prior to waterproofing and tiling, alongside the installation of 2,000m² of ceramic and porcelain tiling to the main pool, the learner pool, viewing area, changing villages and foyer.
The pools both include a Pool Pod, enabling easy access to the pools for customers in wheelchairs or with disabilities whereas at some other pools the accessing can be difficult.
