  • 350 GRC panel types
  • 1724 no GRC panels

Working for main contractor RG Group, Vetter UK were responsible for the design, manufacture, supply and installation of the full external wall build up, including 150mm SFS cavity wall insulation, fire barriers and 4,800m² (1724 no) of large format GRC cladding panels manufactured by GRCUK.

With 350 different GRC panel types, weighing between 35kg and 700kg, this project provided several challenges for the Vetter UK team, from logistics, through to lack of space and storage, and the distribution of the panels to the install position with the use of only one crane.

Access to enable installation of the panels was mainly by Mast Climbers and Cradles, with a monorail system, spider crane and tower crane which was replaced by a mobile crane towards the end of the project.

The black and white cladding panels contain a variety of form and texture and combine the use of recessed RECKLI matting which makes the building stand out from the crowd. The first cladding panel was installed to the northwest elevation in July of 2022, with the final piece of the puzzle being slotted in to place on the 24th of April to the Southwest elevation in the recess section.
